What is LASHER CEREAL HERBICIDE used for ?
It is an environmentally friendly product, completely biodegradable, breaking down into natural occurring products in both soil and water.
It has a very low oral toxicity level of LD 3050 mg/kg which is slightly less than the toxicity of common table salt.
It offers highest versatility of application timing. It can be applied pre-sowing to Wheat and Triticale or early post-emergent to Wheat, Oats, Barley, Triticale and Cereal Rye allowing optimal product management helping to avoid any major "left-overs" at the end of each season. Because Lasher is a very active herbicide the volumes of product to handle are relatively small.
Lasher can be applied by: |

Ground spraying equipment |
Aerial application |
Apply at a minimum rate of 30 litres of water per hectare |
Apply at a minimum rate of 20 litres of water per hectare |
How does Lasher Cereal Herbicide work? |
|
|
Conventionally |
Lasher should be applied pre-sowing in Wheat and Triticale onto the soil surface prepared conventionally. For optimum weed control reducing competition for moisture and nutrients in acid-neutral soils, Lasher should be applied immediately prior to sowing to a level surface. Application to ridged soils may result in strips of uncontrolled weeds. Clods should be broken down to max. 1.5 inch diameter size or even smaller. |
Direct Drilling |
Lasher can be used in direct drilled Wheat or Triticale. If there is a dense weed coverage it is preferable to apply first a SANOS 450 Glyphosate knockdown application, followed by a Lasher application right away prior to sowing. If there is medium weed growth, Lasher should be tank mixed with SANOS 450 or a Diquat/Paraquat Formulation to obtain both knockdown and residual control with one pass. Refer to Label directions. |
|
|
For optimum broadleaf weed control Lasher should be applied when the weeds are very young and vigorous. For post-emergence applications, always add Sanonda's Spray Activator Wetting & Spreading Agent SANWET TG 1000 at rates recommended on the label. Do not add mineral spray oils and/or vegetable oils to Lasher as crop damage or poor efficacy may result. |
|
Wheat, Triticale |
Lasher can be applied right away after crop emergence. |
Barley and Oats |
Lasher should be applied after the second leaf stage (three leave stage in South Australia) of the crop. |
